Hi members, i'm planning for my 2nd bb tentatively mid jan 09. i'm looking for a good gynae. my 1st gynae was none other than late Dr. Jeremy Chuah. i'm sure most members must have heard of his BIG name. i would actually want to find out those patients that were previously under him, which gynae they have turned to. OR, members may suggest few good gynae for me. frankly speaking, i like the team nurses in pantai KL whom they have treated my well during my 1st labour and breastfeeding. this hospital is good, encouraging mothers to breastfeed and giving counselling should any mothers face any difficulties.

I have a query regarding missed abortion. I had two missed abortion for the same reason -
the baby is not growing after 6 weeks. the baby's cardiac activity is not working.
The doctor does'nt have any specific reason for this.
Kindly advise.

I strongly feel that the decision of having a baby has to be taken as and when you and your husband is fully prepared to face the responsibilities of being a 'pa' and 'ma'. The happiness and the love you share during the conception is very well reflected in the formation of your baby's charecter and future.Assure that you spend happy hours with each other and try to console each other and smile through your planning as this would give you a cutie in your life. Also, food has to be selected with utmost care even before the conception which would provide a better nourishing ground for your baby. Try to avoid fatty and preserved foods uch as pork, beef, colas, lays etc.... Try to include more of milk and leafy and greeny stuffs in your diet which would indirectly lead to the making of a healthy and strong baby without any extra fat in body.

ORGANIZE YOUR HOME BEFORE BABY ARRIVES

You won’t believe how much clutter a newborn can bring to a house! It all begins with that first baby. Get a head start by carefully planning and organizing ahead of time. Or, if baby is here, organize as soon as you can! Here are some things you’ll need:
A basket in every main room for toys. It’s a cinch to pick up all the toys and toss them into the basket at the end of the day, and your child can learn to do this independently at a very young age.
A well organized changing table: we use my old vanity. My babies could look at themselves in the mirror while being changed. I also like to put a bright poster on the ceiling directly above the changing table.
Designate a place in the kitchen for bibs, baby bottles, baby dishes & utensils, etc. or they will take over your counters and drawers.
Organize baby clothes in boxes by gender, season & size in a storage area. You’ll be going through baby clothes every two or three months.
Keep large items to a minimum or they will take over your house. In our cozy bungalow, we decided not to have a baby swing, as it would take up too much room. I would often have my baby rocking in the infant car seat with toys across the bar, so I never bought one of those “infant hammock seats” either. We do have one “johnny jump-up” seat which folds easily for storage. Think carefully about bringing large items into your home.

we had experianced that if the gap between two babies are only 1.5 years, a mother can give both a good learing platform.
eg.
1.1 st baby will learn to handle litlle one with Love.
2.he will learn a sence of humnism & rensponciblity from the age of 1.5 years.
3. a mother is well habitual to acknlage the change in her life style after 1st baby.

Cord Blood Storage

Cord Blood Storage is a very important decision to be made for to - be parents nowadays, as it is a very expensive affair. THe good news is that many companies are offering various finance schemes , such as instalment system, one time payment is not necessary. The span of coverage initially promised is 21 years after that the ownership gets transfered from mothers name to childs name. It is worth a shot and does not need any additional effort. This is a very effective way to fight few of the diseases with rare chances of healing. atleast we get some hope and some assurance. Medical Sciences gives a lot of hopes, though there is no fool proof escape to diseases. A lot of professional attitude needs to be shown by these service providers. As in my case the cord blood collector forgot to take my signature and my gynae's signature on the form in the hurry of sending the sample into the cold chain.
